A large infinity pool overlooks the resort’s private, golden-sand beach. The full-service health spa (surcharge) features a hydrotherapy area, 20 treatment rooms, and 80 services, including the Four-Hands Collection--massage treatments that employ two therapists. A health club offers personal training and fitness classes, and tennis and paddle-tennis courts are available for day and night play. The Grand Kids Activities Program provides supervised activities for children ages 4–14.

Grand Velas has 267 suites with private, furnished balconies or terraces with ocean or partial ocean and garden views. Amenities include high-speed and wireless Internet (surcharges), minibars, and flat-screen cable TV with DVD/CD/MP3 players. DVDs may be borrowed from the video library, and pay movies are also available.
All suites feature furnishings in teak wood and light neutral tones with tropical color accents. Beds have down pillows and comforters, and the hotel offers an eight-pillow menu for a customized sleep experience. Turndown service is provided. Bathrooms have bathrobes, phones, and toiletries from the Gilchrist & Soames English Spa Collection.
